High Desert RV Services

High Desert RV Services is an RV repair shop based in Gardnerville, Nevada, at 1417 Industrial Way. You can bring your RV to the shop, and the shop goes out too: "We do have a service truck and we do go out." Automotive and diesel work are done at the same address.

It works on Class A, Class C, Super C, fifth wheels and travel trailers, "any make, any age, in or out of warranty." The list covers refrigerators, furnaces, rooftop air conditioners, generators, leveling jacks, roofs, awnings, winterizing and air brakes. It names Gardnerville, Minden, Carson City, Genoa, Johnson Lane and South Lake Tahoe but gives no service radius, so ask whether your spot is in reach.

It publishes no trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee, so ask about the trip fee before you agree to a visit. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, and Saturday, 8:00 to 12:00, with Sunday closed. No after-hours service is published. The shop will tell you the soonest realistic date rather than book you and hold your rig.

Its certifications are ASE Certified Techs and Certified Diesel Techs. ASE certification is a test-based credential for individual technicians, and no owner or technician is named, so ask who will look at your rig. The shop also handles extended warranty and insurance claims: "Extended warranty and insurance claims, with the paperwork handled here rather than by you."

It works on diesel pushers, Super C and front engine diesel coaches, and it does not quote engine work over the phone. Diesel work is the harder case, because the coach has to sit inside, level and still for the length of the job. Call with your length and ask whether the job can be done where you are.

This is a good fit for an RV owner around Gardnerville and Minden who wants chassis and house systems handled in one visit, or a traveler on US-395 who wants a pre-trip check before the Sierra grades.
