TriStar RV Service, LLC
Own this business? Update this listingTriStar RV Service, LLC is an RV repair shop based in Shipshewana, Indiana, at 7715 N 900 W. You can bring your rig to the shop, and it also sends a tech out to where you are, as one traveler found when a motorhome air conditioner quit mid-trip and a repairman was on site the next morning.
It works on roof replacement, floor replacement, water damage repairs, sewage system sanitizing, valve seal lube, potable water system leak and flow testing, pre-purchase inspections, annual maintenance programs, repairs, upgrades and rebuilds, with motorhomes named in the stories its travelers tell. It covers Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.
No hourly rate or trip fee is published, so ask about the trip fee and what a visit covers when you call. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. TriStar also handles insurance, manufacturer warranty, extended and retail work, stating "We do Insurance, MFG. Warranty, Ext. & Retail."
Its lead technician holds an RVIA Master certified Technician credential, and the shop is listed as a Seal Tech Leak Testing Facility, which matters if you suspect a roof or seam leak rather than an obvious drip, since pinpointing the source before it rots a floor or wall is most of the job. Google rates it 4.8 stars from 32 reviews.
This is a good fit for a traveler passing through Shipshewana or northern Indiana whose AC, roof seal or plumbing fails mid-trip and needs someone to come to the campground, and for an owner in the area who wants a shop that also handles inspections before a purchase and warranty paperwork after one.
