Shipshewana Trading Place

Shipshewana Trading Place runs an RV service center at 345 S Van Buren St in Shipshewana, Indiana. You bring your RV to the shop. It does not come to your campsite or driveway. The center sits on the same grounds as the RV park and flea market, so a traveler staying at the park can get work done without driving far.

The page describes the center as "Designed to support both RV owners and industry pros," in what it calls a "20,000 sq. ft. facility." The services it names are routine maintenance, rain bay leak tests, winterization, warranty work and alignments, plus "and more." Rain bay leak tests are worth asking about if you store gear in those compartments, since a leak there can soak into the floor before you see a stain. The page names no RV types or brands, so ask whether your rig is the kind they regularly work on.

The page does not publish an hourly rate or prices for service jobs, and it does not list hours. Its only instruction is to "Call to Schedule," at 260-768-4129. Ask for a price on the specific job and the shop's hours before you drop off the rig.

The page names no certifications, does not say the shop is licensed or insured, and names no technician. Ask about all three when you call. Licensing and insurance matter because they show who answers for the work if something goes wrong on your rig. If your rig is still under warranty, ask whether the center handles warranty work on your make and what that warranty covers before you book. Google rates the business 4.6 stars from 730 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner who wants routine maintenance, winterization or a warranty repair done at a fixed shop, and who will get a price before the rig is dropped off. It also suits a traveler already parked at the RV park who needs a leak test or an alignment without a long drive.
