Peak Performance Detailing

Peak Performance Detailing is a mobile detailing business based in Charleston, SC, so the work happens where your RV is parked. Its RV page puts it this way: "We bring our equipment directly to you and thoroughly clean and protect your RV's exterior for a cleaner, sharper finish." Campgrounds are not among the places it names, so ask whether it will come to yours.

The RV page lists exterior work only: washing to remove dirt, bugs and road grime, cleaning wheels, tires and trim, and applying wax, sealant or a ceramic coating. It names no RV repair. It also says it does not clean the interiors of RVs used as permanent residences. The towns it names are Charleston, Mount Pleasant, IOP, Daniel Island, Summerville and James Island, with no radius stated.

No trip fee or RV prices are published, so ask about the trip fee and a price for your rig when you call (843) 751-8814. The RV page offers a free estimate. Hours are listed as 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day, and no emergency or after-hours service is stated.

The pages say nothing about a license or insurance, so ask for proof of both before anyone works around your rig. The RV page states no warranty. Warranty language appears only on the boat and ATV pages, so ask whether any coating warranty covers an RV. The owner started by washing his father's boat and is a Clemson mechanical engineering graduate.

Google rates it 5 stars from 42 reviews, listed as a car detailing service. The reviews printed on its homepage are for cars and one boat, none for an RV.

This is a good fit for an RV owner around Charleston who wants the exterior washed, waxed or coated where the rig sits and will ask about the trip fee first. It is not a fit for a traveler who needs a repair.
