VanDevere Chevrolet

VanDevere Truck & RV Service Center operates out of VanDevere Chevrolet in Akron, Ohio, at 1490 Vernon Odom Blvd. It is a fixed shop, so you bring the RV to them rather than having a tech come to your site.

They work on RVs and motorhomes from brands including Airstream, Winnebago, Tiffin, Fleetwood and Newmar, along with medium duty trucks from Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth and International. Jobs range from oil changes, brake repairs and engine diagnostics to full motorhome maintenance and overhauls. The shop serves Akron and reaches out to Cleveland, Canton, Medina, Strongsville and Barberton.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about those when you call to book an appointment. They do offer a payment plan that lets you get the work done now and pay within a 90 day same as cash window, which helps if a repair bill lands at an awkward time. Service hours run Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, closed Sunday.

Technicians are ASE certified in gas and diesel work, with over 95 years of combined experience among the team, which matters on a rig with a diesel pusher engine as much as one with a gas chassis. Work here is backed by a warranty the dealership describes this way: "As part of the VanDevere difference, we offer unparalleled protection with unlimited miles, years, and claims for as long as you own your vehicle." Google rates the shop 4.5 stars from 10 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner around Akron, Canton or Cleveland who wants a dealership shop for scheduled RV maintenance or brake and engine work, and who can plan a drop off appointment rather than needing someone to meet the rig at a campground or driveway.
