Sam's Sparkle Shop

Sam's Sparkle Shop is a detailing shop based in Sparks, Nevada. You bring the RV to its location on Frazer Ave rather than the other way around, so plan for a drop off or a scheduled appointment rather than a visit to your campsite or driveway.

It works on the exterior and interior of Class A and Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and toy haulers. The exterior side is a full wash followed by what it calls precision detail, meant to protect the finish from sun, rain, dirt, mud and sand after a long trip. Inside, the crew vacuums, wipes down, cleans glass and pulls stains, work that matters more on an RV than a car since the interior has to hold up as a living space, not just a cab you sit in for an hour.

There is no published trip fee, hourly rate or flat-rate menu for RV work, so ask about pricing when you call. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with Saturday by appointment.

Sam's Sparkle Shop has been doing this work since 1985, which is close to four decades in the same trade in the same town, and the shop is named for its owner, Sam, who reviewers mention by name repeatedly for showing up early and following through on a job. Google rates it 4.7 stars from 63 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near Sparks or elsewhere in Washoe County who wants the RV cleaned up after a long haul or before selling it, and who does not mind bringing it in rather than having someone come to them.
