Total Recon Auto Detailing

Total Recon Auto Detailing is a car detailing shop based in Springfield, Massachusetts, at 501B St. James Avenue. An RV owner brings the rig to the shop. It also lists "PICK UP AND DROP OFF," but it publishes no service area or fee for that, so ask whether it will collect a rig from your campground or driveway.

The services it lists are exterior and interior detailing, upholstery extraction, odor elimination, scratch removal and ceramic coating. It names "RVs & campers" among the vehicles its detailing covers, and its odor elimination service mentions "mobile homes, RVs." RV work is only that passing mention, with no RV-specific service or price published. It does not list mechanical systems such as air conditioners, refrigerators, slide-outs or generators.

No hourly rate, job price or trip fee is published, so when you call, ask what the job will cost on your rig and whether any fee applies to pickup. Hours are listed as "By appointment," and the shop writes that it works "within your schedule for the ultimate convenience," so expect to book ahead.

The owner is Picasso. No certifications, licensing or insurance are stated, so ask for proof of insurance before you leave a rig there, since the shop's coverage is what pays if something on its lot gets damaged. It has a Google rating of 4.9 from 305 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near Springfield, Massachusetts, who wants a cosmetic job such as an interior cleaning, odor removal, scratch repair or a ceramic coating and can bring the rig to the shop. It is not a fit for a traveler stuck with a broken slide-out or air conditioner.
