Wastler Auto Service

Wastler Auto Service is an auto repair shop based at 4174 Ridge Road in Westminster, MD. RV work sits beside its car, truck and tire work. It does not say whether it comes to your campground or driveway or whether you bring the RV in, so ask which applies before you book.

The RV work it names covers water lines and water pumps, winterization, toilet repairs, plumbing and tires. It lists repair for Coachmen, Winnebago, Fleetwood, Jayco, Monaco, Airstream, Sprinter RV and Pleasure-Way. Its service area is "Serving Westminster, Woodbine, MD, Mt. Airy, MD, Eldersburg, MD, and beyond." Winterization matters because water left in lines and pumps can freeze and burst them.

It publishes no RV labor rate and no trip fee, so ask about both when you call. It lists no after-hours or emergency service. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with Sunday closed. Its repairs are "backed by a 36,000 miles/36 months warranty," so ask what that covers before you authorize work.

Dave Wastler is named as the head of its certified technicians, and the shop is ASE certified. ASE is a national certification for auto technicians, so ask whether the person working on your rig holds it. The shop has been "Locally owned and operated since 1999" and lists AAA Approved Auto Repair. It makes no licensing or insurance statement, so ask about both.

This is a good fit for an owner near Westminster or Eldersburg who needs winterization, water system or tire work on a motorhome and can call ahead to confirm whether the job happens at the shop or on site.
