Jake's Mobile RV

Jake's Mobile RV is a mobile RV tech based in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. It comes to you, at a campground, storage lot or driveway, and covers "areas up to 1 hour away from our base," including Hammond, Covington, Slidell, Mandeville, Denham Springs, Zachary, Baker, Walker, Amite, Folsom, Tickfaw, Roseland, Madisonville and Port Vincent.

It works on AC systems, electrical problems, water damage repair and restoration, and also handles RV maintenance, RV inspection, hitch work and base plate installation. Water damage work in particular is worth catching early: a leak that goes unnoticed can rot the structure underneath and cut into what the rig is worth down the line, and this shop targets that kind of damage before it spreads.

There is no published trip fee, hourly rate or flat-rate menu, so ask about the trip fee when you call and get a number before anyone starts work. Jake's Mobile RV does list a 5% discount on labor only, not parts, plus separate discounts for senior and military status, first-time callers and referrals. Hours run Monday through Saturday 8:00am to 9:00pm and Sunday 8:30am to 9:00pm.

The business states it is "Certified, Insured, Licensed," and it has over 13 years of experience in the area. One reviewer described a fridge that quit cooling while the freezer kept running, and said "Jake arrived the next day," found the problem and fixed it in under twenty minutes, a reminder that a tech who comes to your site can turn a stressful afternoon around fast.

Google rates it 4.7 stars from 42 reviews.

This is a good fit for a traveler or owner in the Ponchatoula to Hammond corridor dealing with an AC, electrical or water damage problem who wants someone to come to the rig rather than haul it anywhere.
