Blackburn Collision Center

Blackburn Collision Center is an auto body and collision shop based in Terre Haute, Indiana, at 1245 North Eighth St, phone 812-232-6258. It also works on RVs and boats, but it works from its shop, so you bring the RV to it. It does not come to a campground or driveway.

Its RV and boat page says it has "a team of trained technicians who can service and repair RVs and boats of all sizes." The RV work it names is fiber glass repair, paint repair and custom paint. Slide-outs, air conditioners and refrigerators are not on its list. The pages name no RV types and no service area, so ask about those when you call.

No RV rates are published, so ask for a quote before you book. It offers a "FREE Estimate" for its shop work, so ask whether that covers an RV. It is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and no after-hours or emergency service is stated.

It offers "a lifetime warranty on all repairs," so ask what the warranty covers before you sign. Its posted reviews mention cars and motorcycles, and none mention an RV. Its training claim, "Properly Trained and Certified by Vehicle Manufacturers," refers to vehicle makers, and no RV certification is named. Ask which RV certifications its technicians hold.

This is a good fit for an owner near Terre Haute who wants fiber glass, paint or custom paint work on an RV and can drop it off during weekday hours. A traveler stuck at a campground with a dead slide-out or an air conditioner that quit should call a service that comes to the rig.
