Eastern Vehicle Services

Eastern Vehicle Services is a shop-based RV, camper and commercial vehicle repair business based in Savannah, Georgia. You bring the rig to them rather than the other way around, and shop service runs by appointment, so it is worth calling or texting ahead before you show up.

The shop works on 12V and 120V electrical systems, shore power, inverters, converters, solar, batteries and charging systems, lighting, rooftop air conditioners, water pumps, water heaters, plumbing, awnings, slide toppers, electric steps and appliances. They take RVs, campers, vans and trailers, and also do commercial van upfits like partitions, shelving and flooring if that applies to your rig. A dead charging system or a solar array that was never wired right is the kind of job they say they focus on finding the real cause of, rather than just swapping parts.

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about those when you call. What they do publish is a process: they inspect the vehicle, define the scope and give a clear estimate before any repair work begins, which matters if you have been burned by an open-ended bill before. They back their work with a six-month warranty, and owner James Peters traces his troubleshooting background to marine engineering work that started in 1998, aboard yachts and tall ships, before carrying over into RVs and vans. Google rates the shop 5 stars from 6 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in or near Savannah who can get the rig to a shop and wants a written estimate before anyone touches it.
