Sherlock RV Inspection Service

Sherlock RV Inspection Service is an RV inspection business based in Summerfield, Florida. It is a mobile service and comes to the RV, and it says it "will travel throughout the Southeast and beyond as needed", with travel and per diem costs added for the trip.

Its main work is pre-purchase and post-purchase inspections conducted to NRVIA standards, on motorhomes and towables alike, from Class A diesel pushers and Class C motorhomes to fifth wheels. It also offers consulting: sales videos, technical walkthrough assessment videos and hands-on training in the use and maintenance of your RV. An independent inspection before you sign matters because it puts the true condition of the rig on paper while you can still negotiate, ask for repairs or walk away. Ron's own advice to buyers is to get it in writing that the deposit is refundable based on the inspection report, and to check that the VIN on the purchase agreement matches the rig you toured.

No inspection price, hours or set service radius is published, so ask what the inspection costs for your rig and what travel adds when you call.

The inspector is Ron Francoeur, an NRVIA certified RV inspector, and the business is run by Ron and Judi Francoeur. It is veteran owned. Ron served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, where he specialized in precision calibration of instrumentation used on submarines, and later worked as an electronics engineering technician.

This is a good fit for a buyer in Florida or the Southeast who wants an independent look at a new or used RV before closing the deal, or a new owner who wants a walkthrough of how the rig works.
