Molecular Advanced Coatings

Molecular Advanced Coatings is a ceramic coating shop based in Midway, Florida, near Tallahassee, with additional locations in Argyle (Dallas/Fort Worth), Sacramento, and Hurricane (St. George, Utah). You bring the RV to one of its facilities rather than having a tech come to you, and the shop asks owners to "Plan to leave your rig with us for 3 days" for the prep, application, and curing process.

It works on Airstreams, fiberglass RVs and trailers, and other top-tier motorhomes, applying its proprietary MAC Jacket coating to aluminum, fiberglass, and painted surfaces. It also offers StrataCoat for older or more porous finishes and a Filiform Arrest treatment aimed specifically at the corrosion that spreads under scratches on aluminum Airstreams. It generally will not coat an RV roof, since the ceramic will not bond to seals and can block future sealant from adhering, though molded fiberglass trailers without a separate roof seam are an exception.

The published ballpark figure is "about 5K for a 25 foot trailer," with a discount available if a tow vehicle is coated at the same time. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The coating is described as "a PERMANENT coating that must be sanded off to be removed," which matters if you are deciding between a one-time job and yearly waxing.

Google rates it 5 stars from 28 reviews.

This is a good fit for an Airstream or fiberglass trailer owner near one of its four locations who wants a long-term exterior finish and is willing to leave the rig at the shop for a few days to get it.
