Ron's Diesel Dawg Diesel & Automotive LLC

Ron's Diesel Dawg Diesel & Automotive LLC is a full service and mobile mechanic shop based in Buena Vista, Colorado. It offers "the convenience of shop visits, or service calls in the field or your place of business," so you can bring the rig to the shop on Highway 24 or have a tech come to you.

The shop works on diesel engines, gas engines, transmissions, welding, fabrication and performance work, and its service list names RVs along with construction equipment, farm equipment, buses, boats and trailers. It does not name specific RV types or brands, so ask when you call whether it has worked on your make and model.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic charge is published, so ask about cost and about whether it will come to your campsite, storage lot or driveway, and how far it travels, before you book. Hours run Monday through Friday from 8 to 6, and the shop also lists Saturday hours from 10 to 6, closed Sunday.

The owner, Ron, has over 25 years of experience in the mechanic trade and holds a Certified Diesel Electric Mechanic credential along with training in hydraulics troubleshooting, HEUI engines and high horsepower Cummins familiarization. That kind of background matters if your rig's trouble is really a chassis or engine problem rather than something in the living quarters, since a shop built around diesel and heavy equipment work has seen more of that than a typical RV-only dealer.

Google rates the business 4.8 stars from 80 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near Buena Vista with an engine, transmission or chassis problem, or anyone who would rather call and ask straight questions about cost and location than guess at what a dealer will eventually bill.
