S.O.S Mobile Mechanics

S.O.S Mobile Mechanics is a mobile RV tech and mechanic based in Garden Grove, California. It does not have a shop you bring the rig to. Its mechanics come to homes, businesses, fleet yards, job sites, RV locations and equipment yards throughout Orange County to diagnose the problem where the RV sits.

It works on engine diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, cooling system repair and engine performance issues, and it names Forest River, Jayco, Winnebago, Thor and Holiday Rambler among the RV brands it services, plus Onan on the generator side. On-site, it diagnoses no-start problems, battery and charging issues, electrical faults, overheating and cooling problems, and generator no-start or output problems, and explains the recommended repair before work begins. It serves Garden Grove, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Orange, Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach and other areas in Orange County.

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about all three when you call, along with whether your specific location and repair qualify for on-site work. SOS Mobile Mechanics describes itself plainly: "SOS Mobile Mechanics is a mobile-only repair business. Our mechanics come to your location instead of requiring you to bring the vehicle or equipment to a traditional repair shop." For a traveler whose RV will not start or is overheating in a driveway or storage lot, that on-site diagnosis before any repair begins means you know what you are paying for before a wrench turns.

Google rates it 3.8 stars from 6 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in Orange County who needs a mechanic to come to the rig for an engine, electrical or cooling system problem on a Forest River, Jayco, Winnebago, Thor or Holiday Rambler, rather than haul it anywhere.
