Ron's R.V. Service

Ron's R.V. Service is an RV repair shop based in Chico, California. You bring the RV to them, at 3199 Plummers Lane #6, rather than them coming to you.

They work on air conditioning, awnings, appliance repair, metal siding, and rubber roofing, along with extended warranty work and satellite installation, on motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers. They list brands including Airstream, Coachmen, Forest River, Four Winds, Entegra, Foretravel Motorcoach and Gulf Stream among many others, and they are named an authorized service dealer for Dometic, Norcold Refrigerator, Thetford, Suburban Manufacturing and RVP Products, which matters if your fridge or furnace is still under a manufacturer warranty since an authorized dealer can do that warranty work directly.

The shop does not publish an hourly rate or a trip fee, so ask about cost when you call. They do handle extended warranty claims directly with insurance companies on your behalf, which saves you the back and forth. Their workmanship is guaranteed for a year. Hours run Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 3 PM, closed weekends.

Ron Adkins, the owner and operator, started building RVs at Fleetwood Motor Homes in 1985 and has stayed in the industry since. The shop has been doing business in the Chico area for over 30 years and says it has "worked on Thousands of RV's in our service career on all makes and models."

This is a good fit for an owner near Chico who wants a shop that already deals with extended warranty paperwork, or who needs roof, awning or appliance work done by a named authorized dealer rather than a general repair stop.
