CJ Repair

CJ Repair is a full-service auto and RV repair shop at 643 Brakke Drive in Hudson, Wisconsin, just off Exit 4. It calls itself a "local, family-owned business" and has been open since April 2020. You bring the RV to the shop. It does not say it will come to a campground, storage lot or driveway, so ask before you plan on a house call.

Its RV work covers air conditioners and furnaces, including rooftop air conditioners and furnace components. It also repairs awnings with torn fabric, damaged arms or faulty motors, and sewage and holding tank problems such as leaks, valves, sensors and odor. Electrical work includes batteries, converters, inverters, shore power connections and lighting. Its preventive maintenance covers engines, brakes, suspension, plumbing, generators and tires. It does not list slide-outs, refrigerators, roof work or collision repair, and it names no RV types or brands. The only town it names is Hudson.

It publishes no RV rate, trip fee, hours or after-hours service. Call 715.245.8800 before you leave the rig and ask for the RV labor rate, any diagnostic charge and the shop hours.

The only certification it names is "Enterprise Fleet Services certified shop," which applies to company fleet vehicles, not RVs. It names no RV certification such as RVTI, NRVTA or factory training, and it states no licensing, insurance or warranty. Training matters with a rig, because it shows whether the tech has worked on RV systems and not just cars. Ask which technician does RV work, whether they hold RV training and what the repair is warranted for. The team includes Trystan Jansen, Alex Mooney, Adam Dale, Brian Tiffany and Nick Stoll. One review credits Dale in the RV department as "easy to work with."

This is a good fit for an owner in Hudson or the St. Croix River Valley who can drive the rig to the shop for an awning, holding tank, electrical or air conditioning repair, and who wants RV pricing and hours in hand before dropping it off.
