Wheat's Alaskan Camper Service

Wheat's Alaskan Camper Service is a repair, rebuild and restoration business based in Chehalis, Washington, at 110 Sears Road. Its main trade is Alaskan Campers. Its page notes that "their heart lies with Alaskan Campers," and that "their hands are skilled enough to extend some services to other RV models." The business does not state whether it comes to your campsite or driveway or whether you bring the rig to its shop, so ask before you plan the trip.

It names four services: repairing and servicing, rebuilding campers, damage repair and camper modifications. Its gallery shows roof repairs, camper rebuilds and new flooring. No service area or radius is stated, so ask whether it will work near your home or your campground.

Its labor rate is "Quality Service at $155 per hour." It does not publish a trip fee, diagnostic fee or minimum charge, so ask about the trip fee when you call. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with Saturday by appointment only. After-hours and emergency work are not mentioned, so ask about those too.

Bryan Wheat is the person named. The business describes him this way: "For over three decades, Bryan Wheat has been working in the Production, Service & Restoration of Alaskan Campers." Its description reads "Servicing, Repairing, and Restoring Since 1992." With the owner named, you know whom to ask about the work before the camper goes in. No licensing, insurance or warranty is stated, so ask about all three. Google rates it 5 stars from 4 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner with an Alaskan Camper who needs a rebuild, damage repair or modification from a shop that works on that brand. A traveler with a different brand should call 360-557-8022 first and ask whether that work is among the other RV models it extends services to.
