O'Berry's Service Center

O'Berry's Service Center is an auto repair shop based in Emporia, Virginia, at 529 N Main St. Cars and trucks are its main trade, and RV work is one of several listed extras. You bring the RV to the shop. It does not come to your campsite or driveway.

Its RV work is described in one short paragraph: "We specialize in handling the unique needs of RVs." It names no RV types, brands or systems, such as air conditioners or slide-outs, so ask what it will work on before you leave the rig.

It publishes no hourly rate, RV job prices or trip fee, so ask for an estimate and any trip fee when you call. The shop says it gives "a straight-forward estimate before beginning any repairs." Hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, and it is closed on weekends. Its after-hours drop-off at the Emporia facility lets you fill out a form and leave your keys in a secure drop box.

It has been doing auto repair since 1991 and says, "We stand behind all of our work with a guarantee you can take to the bank." It is an AAA Approved Towing Company, but it names no RV certification, license or insurance, so ask whether the person who would look at your rig has RV training. Google rates it 4.7 stars from 626 reviews and lists it as an RV repair shop.

This is a good fit for an owner in Emporia, Durand, South Hill or Petersburg who wants to bring a rig in and agree on a price before work starts, or a traveler who can get the rig to Emporia and wants a shop open weekdays until 5:00PM.
