Transmasters Transmissions is a family-owned shop with "over 40 years" of experience, at 2386 South 2700 West in West Valley City, Utah. Its main trade is cars, trucks and SUVs, and it says it is "one of the few shops in West Valley City, UT, that services recreational vehicles." The RV comes to the shop. Nothing lists visits to campgrounds or driveways, so ask about that before you plan around it.
Its RV work is described as "transmission and engine work" and "electrical and mechanical repairs." It names no RV types and no house systems such as slide-outs, refrigerators or generators. For major repairs within the Salt Lake Valley, it offers "complimentary towing."
No hourly rate or RV trip fee is published, so ask about the trip fee when you call. Repairs are "backed by our warranty."
The shop lists "Certified Staff" but names no certification, so ask which training its technicians hold, especially for RV systems. Karey Brooks is named as on-site co-owner. Insurance is not mentioned, so ask whether the shop carries it before work starts.
This is a good fit for an owner in the Salt Lake Valley with a transmission, engine or electrical problem on an RV that can be driven to West Valley City, or for a traveler stuck in the valley who wants a free diagnosis before any work starts.
