American RV Specialists

American RV Specialists is an RV repair shop based in Liberty Hill, Texas, at 14700 TX-29. You bring the RV to its shop. The business calls itself "a one-stop shop for RV maintenance and repair."

It lists air conditioning, generator repair and service, electrical repairs, plumbing, hydraulics, winterizing and yearly maintenance. It also lists trailer repair covering lights, brakes and tires, fiberglass repairs, custom paint and body work, diesel repair and services, boat repairs and horse trailers. It says it services "all types of vehicles and other equipment," but it does not name specific RV makes or types. Winterizing and yearly maintenance are planned jobs, so it helps to book a time before the cold sets in or before a long stretch in storage.

It does not publish an hourly rate, a trip fee or a diagnostic fee. Its site asks you to call to arrange a "free estimate," so ask what the shop charges by the hour and how soon it can take the rig in. It is open 09:00 am to 05:00 pm Monday through Friday and closed on weekends. It accepts Visa and MasterCard.

It does not post certifications, a license or insurance statement, a warranty, or how long it has been in business. It lists insurance claims work and says it works with all service agreements, so ask whether your claim or agreement applies before you bring the rig in. The phone number is 512-260-0776.

This is a good fit for an owner near Liberty Hill who can bring the RV in on a weekday for air conditioning, generator, electrical or winterizing work.
