Elite Specialty Motor Homes

Elite Specialty Motor Homes is an RV repair shop based in Alvarado, Texas, at 9139 E. Hwy 67. You bring the RV to the shop. It serves "Johnson and Tarrant counties and surrounding areas," but it does not say whether it will work at your campground or driveway, so ask before you plan on that.

It covers mechanical, roof and collision work, plus customization and pre-owned RV sales. Mechanical work includes slide-outs, appliances, air conditioners, awnings, water damage, delamination and generator repair. Roof work covers rubber and fiberglass repair and replacement, structural repair and resealing. Collision work includes fiberglass repair, steel and aluminum fabrication, front end, cargo door, rear bumper and slide repair.

It does not publish prices, an hourly rate or hours, but it does offer estimates and consultations. When you call, ask what an estimate costs, what the hours are and whether it can take a rig that will not roll. A rig with a dead slide-out has to reach Alvarado under its own power or on a trailer, so plan the tow before you call.

No license, insurance, certification or warranty is named, so ask for each in writing before work starts. It is a "local, family-owned business" with "over 30 years of experience in the industry," which matters for a roof reseal or a slide repair, though years alone do not guarantee how a job will turn out. Google rates it 4.4 stars from 20 reviews, under the category RV repair shop.

This is a good fit for an owner in or near Johnson or Tarrant county who can bring the rig to Alvarado for a roof reseal, collision work or a mechanical repair. A traveler with a rig that cannot be moved is a poor match.
