Roving Handyman

Roving Handyman is a mobile RV service and repair business based in Harrison, Tennessee, serving the Greater Chattanooga region. Technicians travel to campgrounds, storage lots and driveways, and since they also roam the country, you can check their tech locator map to see where they are working near you.

They cover AC and furnace repair, water heater service, generators, tire and wheel work, and exterior work including roofs, sealants and slide-out systems. They are an Aqua-Hot Factory Authorized Service Center, so hydronic heating systems are part of their regular work, and they service brands including A&E, Carefree, Coleman-Mach, Cummins-Onan, Dexter, Dometic, Furrion, Girard, Kwikee, Lippert, Micro-Air, Power Gear, Suburban and Thetford.

The dispatch fee is $125, and that covers travel up to 25 miles from Harrison or their mobile base when roving. Beyond that, mileage runs $2.25 per mile one way. Standard labor is $125 an hour with a one hour minimum once a technician is on site, and they charge by the hour rather than a flat rate, so you pay for the time the job actually takes. Emergency labor is $250 an hour, with 24 hour emergency service available. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8 to 5.

Roving Handyman says its technicians are "trained, certified, insured professionals," and they hold RVTAA certification along with the Aqua-Hot factory authorization, worth asking about if your rig has hydronic heat. Google rates them 4.9 stars from 74 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in or around Chattanooga who wants hourly billing instead of a dealership flat rate, or a traveler parked at a campground in the area who needs a tech to come to the site.
