Rinse & Shine RV Detailing & Service

Rinse & Shine RV Detailing & Service is a family-owned RV repair and detailing shop based in Gilbert, South Carolina. Most work happens at the shop, but for pre-purchase inspections they say "we come to you," checking out the RV wherever it sits, at a dealer lot or a private seller's driveway, before you sign.

They work on roofs (leak repair, resealing, inspections and rebuilds), axles, brakes and bearings, tire consultation and replacement, refrigerator and water heater replacement, and propane tank questions. On the detailing side they do full wash and wax, wheel and tire cleaning, roof protectant, Modesta ceramic coatings, oxidation removal, fiberglass care, paint correction, decal restoration and PPF on motorhome fronts. They also run fleet washing programs for box trucks, trailers and semis. Rigs seen in their reviews include Airstreams, a Brinkley and a Tiffin motorhome. Their service area covers the SC Midlands, naming Lexington, Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Irmo, Chapin, Gilbert, Batesburg-Leesville, Newberry, Prosperity, Saluda, Aiken, Orangeburg, Sumter, Camden and Augusta, GA.

No trip fee, hourly rate or flat prices are published, so ask about cost and whether a job happens at the shop or on-site when you call. Hours run Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday by appointment. Owner Tate Erwin is named throughout the reviews, including one traveler whose furnace he rebuilt rather than replace, saying "he was on it in 2 days." Google rates them 5.0 stars from 15 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near the Midlands who wants roof, brake or appliance work done right along with a full detail, or a buyer who wants a second set of eyes on an RV before closing the deal.
