W.L. Davison

W.L. Davison is an independent, family-owned auto repair shop based in Warrendale, PA, serving Warrendale, Wexford, Cranberry and surrounding areas. You bring the RV to its shop at 330 Northgate Dr. Most of the work is on cars and trucks, but the shop says: "We perform services for all kinds of vehicles, including passenger vehicles, trucks and trailers of all sizes, and RVs."

For RVs, the published list includes A/C repair, battery replacement, belt and hose replacement, brake repairs, cooling system services, engine diagnostics and repairs, steering and suspension work, wheel alignments and RV Inspections. RV trailers also get bearing repacking and replacement, springs and axle work, tire sales and trailer light wiring. Slide-outs, refrigerators, generators and roofs are not on that list, so ask about them before you drive over.

The shop publishes no RV prices and no hourly rate, so ask for an estimate when you call. It is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed on weekends. It states no emergency or after-hours service, though it runs a night key drop for leaving a vehicle overnight. It takes American Express, check, cash, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.

It has "ASE-certified technicians on staff," and ASE certification means a technician has passed tests in specific repair areas, so it is a fair thing to ask about. As a NAPA AutoCare Center, it says "we back qualifying work through nationwide warranty." It has been providing auto services for over 48 years. It does not state licensing or insurance, so ask for both when you call.

This is a good fit for an owner near Warrendale, Wexford or Cranberry with a travel or utility trailer, or an RV that can be dropped off on a weekday, who wants a shop that also handles cars. It is less suited to a traveler who needs help on a weekend.
