American Mobile RV Service Company

American Mobile RV Service Company is a mobile RV tech based in Millerstown, Perry County, Pennsylvania. It comes to you, at the campsite, so you do not have to haul the rig into a shop or dealer.

It diagnoses and repairs electrical, plumbing, LP Gas systems, lighting and appliances, exterior window and door seals, and performs annual roof inspections and repairs. It has worked on pop-ups, trailers, a toy hauler and a 5th wheel. Its service area is a 50-mile radius of Millerstown, covering Central Pennsylvania. It has also partnered with Elmer's RV Roof Solutions, which specializes in roof repair, maintenance and replacement, and offers exterior and interior cleaning at your location.

No hourly rate or trip fee is published, so ask about both when you call. Payment is required up front for all work performed. If you are filing a warranty claim, it provides an itemized list of diagnosis and corrections and the paid invoice, but you are responsible for getting reimbursed from the warranty company yourself, along with any deductibles or charges the warranty provider does not authorize. That is worth knowing before you book, since the paperwork is on you after the repair is done.

The business is owner Joe Hunker, a veteran and certified RV tech, and the company describes itself as "A Fully Insured, Veteran-Owned Small Business."

This is a good fit for an owner in Central Pennsylvania who wants repairs or a roof inspection done at the campsite instead of a shop, and who is prepared to settle up at the time of service and handle the warranty reimbursement afterward.
