Sycamore Hill RV

Sycamore Hill RV is an RV repair shop based in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and it works both ways: you can bring the rig to its Quentin Road location, or it will send a mobile RV tech out to you. It serves the greater Harrisburg, Lebanon, Hershey and Lancaster areas, traveling to a home, storage facility or campground, and it says plainly that if you are unsure whether it covers your spot, call and ask.

It works on motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, pop-up campers and enclosed trailers, covering appliances, slide-outs, awnings, furnaces, jacks and hydraulics, hitches, roofs, water heaters, electrical, plumbing, gas systems, and winterizing and de-winterizing. The in-shop side adds state inspection and towing equipment installation. It notes it does not typically handle engine components but will help point you to someone who does, which is worth knowing before you call expecting chassis work.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic charge is published, so ask about those when you call, along with what a particular job runs.

Jim Landvater started in the business in 1985 washing trailers in high school, worked up to service manager at a dealership, then went out on his own with a mobile repair service in 2011 before adding the Lebanon shop in 2014. That kind of long run in one region tends to mean a tech who has seen most of what can go wrong with a slide-out or a furnace before. Google rates the business 4.7 stars from 111 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in the Harrisburg, Lebanon, Hershey or Lancaster area who wants the choice of a shop visit or a tech coming to the campground, especially for a slide-out or awning problem that makes moving the rig unsafe.
