Carefree RV

Carefree RV is an RV repair shop based in Exton, Pennsylvania. It is not mobile: you bring the RV to its Exton location, or in the Concierge package they pick it up at your home and bring it back to the shop.

It works on motorhomes and travel trailers, covering oil changes, generator service and repair, roof maintenance, winterizing and de-winterizing, and repairs tied to Pennsylvania State RV Inspections. It also handles slide-out maintenance and repair, including the seals, tracks and motors that tend to wear out. Three service levels are offered: Concierge, a hands-off package that empties waste tanks, fills freshwater, tops off propane or gas, cleans the RV and handles repairs; Trip Check, which inspects and preps a motorhome before a trip; and General Service, basic maintenance and inspection related repair work. The shop says it serves Philadelphia and Chester County, PA, plus neighboring states within a 2-hour radius, including State College, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Maryland.

No hourly rate, diagnostic fee or trip fee is published, so ask about cost and turnaround when you call. The shop does advertise a turnaround promise of getting an RV into the shop in 4 days or less, instead of the 3 week wait it says is common elsewhere, which matters if you have ever waited out a dealer's backlog. It has been in business since 2017, and hours run Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Google rates it 4.9 stars from 182 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner within that 2-hour radius who wants a scheduled shop visit rather than a dealer's long wait, especially before a Pennsylvania State RV Inspection or a season's first trip.
