Central PA RV Inspection & Consulting, LLC is a mobile RV inspection and consulting business founded by Derek Pauling, based in Central PA. Derek comes to you and your RV to do the work, traveling, in his words, "all over the Northeast."

Derek does in-depth pre-purchase and pre-sale inspections on Class A motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels, checking the roof, underbelly, suspension components, tires, walls, interior, water systems, electronics, floors, propane and electrical systems. Every inspection looks for life safety issues, including propane leaks, fire extinguisher condition, and carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. Inspections run 6 to 9 hours depending on the rig, and you get a full report with more than 100 photos within 48 hours. He also offers consulting on picking the right RV or tow vehicle, and a one-day course for new RV owners on setting up, running and tearing down their specific rig. Beyond that, he handles preventative and maintenance work such as winterization, de-winterization, AC coil cleaning, roof reseal and seal checks, plus minor repairs.

For minor repairs specifically, if Derek fixes the problem the same day, the assessment fee is waived. If he cannot fix it that day, he gives you next steps and charges only the assessment fee plus travel, with no hourly rate applied. No pricing is published for inspections, consulting or maintenance packages, so ask about cost and the trip fee when you call. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Derek trained at the National RV Training Academy and holds NRVIA certification as an RV inspector, work guided by NRVIA standards of practice, which matters most to anyone about to hand over money for a used rig sight unseen on its mechanical history. Google rates the business 4.8 stars from 34 reviews.

This is a good fit for someone buying or selling a used RV in the Northeast who wants a documented inspection before money changes hands, or an owner who would rather have winterization and small repairs done at home than wait weeks at a dealership.
