Budget RV Center

Budget RV Center is based in Metolius, Oregon, at 882 Washington Avenue. It sells reconditioned RVs and also repairs them. At its Metolius location it offers mobile repair, so it comes to you, and it runs an in-store shop if you bring the RV in. No service area is published, so ask how far the mobile crew will travel.

It lists air conditioning, fridges, water heaters, furnaces, plumbing, awnings, roofs, wheel bearings, slide-outs, winterizing, road-ready inspections and pre-purchase inspections. It has "certified slide-out technicians," and it excludes "motorhome engine work." A slide-out that will not move is a case where a tech who comes to the rig saves a tow. A pre-purchase inspection before you buy a used rig gives you problems to negotiate over before any money changes hands.

No trip fee, hourly rate or job prices are published, so ask about the trip fee when you call. Hours are listed as 09:00 am to 05:00 pm. The business is "available some weekends for emergency repairs," without naming which weekends, so ask before you count on one.

Austin Stone manages the Metolius location, described as "a second-generation expert with a lifetime of expertise." The business has specialized in reconditioned RVs for "over three decades," and it was established in 1991. No certifications, license or insurance statement is listed, so ask which certifications the techs hold and whether the work is insured. Google rates it 5 stars from 40 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in or near Metolius who wants a pre-purchase inspection, winterizing, or a slide-out or roof repair, and who will ask about the trip fee before booking.
