Makai's Full Service Automotive Detailing

Makai's Full Service Automotive Detailing is a detailing shop based in Altus, Oklahoma, at 722 E Broadway St. It comes to your home, workplace, business or fleet location, and it also has shops in Lawton/Fort Sill and Elk City, so you can bring the rig in. It serves Altus and surrounding Southwest Oklahoma communities "within approximately a 40-mile service area."

It covers "restoring, protecting, and maintaining cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, RVs, boats, and personal watercraft." For RVs the menu lists RV Exterior Detailing, RV Interior Detailing and RV Additional Services, with no description of the work. Its other services include paint correction, ceramic coating, ozone odor removal and headlight restoration. None of its pages list mechanical repair, so an AC, a refrigerator or a slide-out is not what this shop does.

It publishes no RV prices and no trip fee, so ask about the trip fee and whether it covers your site when you call. Its online booking asks for a ZIP code before it shows pricing. Hours differ between pages: the booking page lists Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with Sunday by appointment, while the home page lists Sunday closed.

It lists IDA Certified Detailers and Gtechniq Accredited Installer credentials, and it is veteran-owned and "Fully Insured." Accreditation matters for a ceramic coating, since the coating is only as good as the prep and application under it. Its 5-year EXOv5 and 9-year Crystal Serum Ultra coatings are "backed by real warranties and reported directly to Carfax." Google rates it 5 stars from 121 reviews.

This is a good fit for an RV owner around Altus, Lawton or Elk City who wants a rig detailed or coated and can plan the visit, or a traveler who needs a rig cleaned up after a trip. It is not the place for repairs.
