Advanced Automotive & RV

Advanced Automotive & RV is an automotive and RV repair shop based in Wilmington, North Carolina, in Dutch Square. You bring the RV to its facility rather than the other way around, and it says it is "equipped with a 24,000 lbs. lift and a facility that's large enough to accommodate a 38ft RV," which matters if you have been turned away elsewhere for a rig too big for a standard bay.

The shop says it offers "a complete line of RV repair services," alongside its regular car, truck and fleet work. It does not spell out specific RV systems or brands on its pages, so when you call, ask whether it handles your particular system, whether that is a slide-out, a generator or an AC unit, and whether your RV's length and weight fit what the lift can take.

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about cost and how it is calculated before you schedule anything. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, closed weekends.

The shop has been doing automotive work for "over 30 years" and its technicians are ASE-certified, a standard that means they have passed tests in specific repair areas rather than just picked up the trade informally. It backs its work with a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty, so a repair that fails early is covered rather than billed again. Google rates it 4.9 stars from 66 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near Wilmington who wants a shop with the lift capacity for a full-size RV and a warranty behind the work, and who does not mind calling ahead to pin down the price and the exact repair list before dropping the rig off.
