JDS Mobile RV Service

JDS Mobile RV Service is a mobile RV repair and maintenance business serving Southport, North Carolina and surrounding areas. It comes to you, and it promises "expert service directly to you." It has relocated from Rock Hill, SC, but no street address or base town is given, and no service radius is stated, so ask how far it will drive before you book.

It names travel trailers as the RV type it works on. It does not name motorhomes or Class A, B or C rigs. The systems it lists are water heaters and furnaces, refrigerators, air conditioners, other RV appliances, electrical work including battery systems, wiring and water pumps, plumbing, and roof maintenance and inspections. Having the work done where the rig sits matters, because a tech who comes to the trailer saves you a tow and a wait at a shop.

It publishes no trip fee, hourly rate or job prices, so ask about the trip fee when you call. Its hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday closed. Saturday is listed as "Scheduled as Emergency, pricing increase," with no figure given, so ask what that increase is before you book a weekend visit. The phone number is 1 (803) 417-0811.

No certifications, licensing or insurance are listed. Ask for its license and proof of insurance before anyone works on your rig. Insurance is what pays for damage if something goes wrong on your trailer during the job, so ask before the work starts.

This is a good fit for a travel trailer owner in Southport or nearby towns who needs roof, appliance, electrical or water heater work done where the rig sits, and who will ask about the trip fee and licensing before booking.
