AJW Detailing

AJW Detailing is a mobile boat and car detailing business based in Cornelius, NC, owned by Alex Adams, who has 10 years of experience. Boats and cars are the main trade, and it also details RVs and campers. It comes to you: "The difference is we come to you."

It details RVs in driveways across Mooresville, Denver, Cornelius, Huntersville, and Davidson, and it will "cover everything within 50 miles" of its Cornelius base. The work covers Class A motorhomes, motorhomes, travel trailers and campers. On the outside that means a full wash, bug removal, awnings, slide-out seals and tracks, and exterior trim. Inside it means upholstery and overhead cabinets. "The roof gets its own treatment." Mobile matters for a big rig because "Half the shops around here don't even have bay doors tall enough for a Class A motorhome."

AJW does not publish RV prices, a trip fee, an hourly rate or hours, so ask about the trip fee and the total when you call (704) 594-3948. It does publish time estimates. A 25-foot travel trailer "typically takes four to six hours," and a 40-foot Class A motorhome runs "eight to ten hours depending on condition." Its replies typically come "within a few hours during business hours."

Alex holds the "Glidecoat Pro Certified Applicator" credential, plus Scratch Removal Certified and Paint Correction Certified labels. The Glidecoat credential matters if you want ceramic coating, which it also applies to RV exteriors, because a coat only holds when the paint under it has been corrected first. Nothing states a warranty, license or insurance, so ask about all three before booking.

It is not a repair shop. Its listed work is cleaning, polishing, coating and interior care, so a fridge, an air conditioner or a slide-out that will not move is not a call for it. This is a good fit for an RV owner in Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Mooresville or Denver who wants an exterior, interior and roof detail done in a driveway or storage lot.
