B Walt's Car Care

B Walt's Car Care is a detailing shop based in Sidney, New York, at 304 State Highway 7. It does not come to you. You bring the RV to the shop. It serves "the Southern Tier of New York and the Tri-County areas," so the drive from most of that region is manageable.

For RVs, the work is exterior detailing and ceramic coating. The RV Exterior Cleaning package covers a thorough wash and dry, then a 1-year ceramic paint sealant. The shop says it removes "dirt, mud, bird droppings, tree sap, bug splatters, and even road grime" from RVs. A ceramic coating leaves a "slick, hydrophobic barrier," which makes the next wash easier. The page lists no mechanical or RV repair work, so a dead fridge, a failing air conditioner or a slide-out that will not move is not this shop's job.

The RV Exterior Cleaning package starts at $20 per linear foot, with a turnaround of 1 day. The page publishes no hourly rate and no trip fee, so ask for the full cost before you book. All services are by appointment. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday by appointment only, and Sunday closed. The phone number is (607) 434-4157.

The business was founded in 2018 and is led by Brandon Walters, the 2024 MTE Detail Person of the Year. Its staff holds Certified Detailer and Skills Validated certifications from the International Detailing Association (IDA). It is an authorized installer of Owner's Pride Select 9-Year Ceramic Coatings, though the RV package uses a 1-year sealant. The page does not say whether the business is licensed or insured, so ask.

This is a good fit for an RV owner within driving distance of Sidney who wants the outside washed and sealed with a ceramic coating and can book an appointment ahead of time. It is not the place for a traveler who needs a system repaired.
