Classic RV Repair & Restorations LLC

Classic RV Repair & Restorations LLC is an RV repair shop based in Fishkill, New York. You bring the RV to its location on Route 9, where George Hernandez, owner and master technician, does the work himself.

The shop specializes in vintage Airstreams, but it also takes on any brand RV, trailers, utility trailers and horse trailers. It handles aluminum body repair along with electrical, plumbing, interior repair, and fabrication and installation of solar panels and controls. Aluminum body work on an Airstream is a specialty few shops offer, since the riveted aluminum skin takes different skills than standard RV siding, and George is named among the few technicians in the country who do it.

No trip fee, hourly rate or hours are published, so ask about those when you call. The shop does not state a service area either, so ask whether it can take your rig or whether you need to bring it in.

George Hernandez has been working on Airstreams for more than 30 years. That kind of long, narrow focus matters if you own a vintage trailer, since a tech who has spent decades on one brand's quirks is often a safer bet than a general RV shop learning as it goes.

Google rates the shop 4.3 stars from 12 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner of a vintage Airstream who wants aluminum body or restoration work done by someone who specializes in the brand, or any trailer owner in the Hudson Valley willing to bring the rig to Fishkill.
