The Muffler Shop

The Muffler Shop is an auto repair and exhaust shop based in Fairport, New York, and you bring the RV to them. They have been doing custom exhaust work in the area for 34 years, and they say, "At The Muffler Shop, we offer full-service auto repair and preventative maintenance for your car, truck, RV and motor home."

Beyond RV and truck repairs, the shop handles custom exhaust fabrication, oil changes, cooling system flushes, NYS car inspections and emissions testing, air conditioning recharge, computerized four-wheel alignment, and scheduled maintenance built around manufacturer intervals. No specific RV types, brands, or systems like slide-outs or generators are named, so if your rig has a particular issue, ask when you call whether they handle it.

No trip fee or RV-specific pricing is published, so ask about cost and how they handle an RV-sized vehicle on their lot when you call. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 6:00PM and Saturday 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

The shop is a AAA Approved Auto Repair facility, which means it is inspected annually against AAA's standards for service quality, staff qualifications, and equipment, not just a sign in the window. It also holds an A+ grade with the Better Business Bureau. The shop has been family owned since 1984, now run by Jeff Cline, with most technicians certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence and two holding Advanced Master Technician ratings.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in the Rochester, Fairport, or Penfield area who wants a long-standing local shop for exhaust work, scheduled maintenance, or general repair on their RV and is willing to call ahead and confirm pricing and scope before bringing the rig in.
