ABC Paint & Body

ABC Paint & Body is an auto body shop based in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and you bring the RV to its shop at 490-C N. Valley Dr. It is not a mobile operation, so plan to get the rig there.

Collision repair and body work are its main trade, and it says it is "the only auto body shop in Las Cruces with a paint booth made to accommodate RVs." That matters because most body shops do not have a spray booth large enough to fit a motorhome, which is why finding somewhere to repair RV fiberglass and paint damage can be hard. It handles frame work, dent repair, paintless dent repair, bumper damage and painting, and it understands the aluminum and fiberglass construction that motorhome bodies use.

There is no published hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee, and no stated hours, so ask about cost and scheduling when you call. It does offer free estimates with no appointment needed, and it works from any insurance estimate you already have, which can save a second inspection. It also holds a DRP (direct repair program) with several insurance companies, which can cut down on paperwork if you are filing a claim.

Its techs carry ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and ICAR certification, training meant to bring repairs back to factory specifications rather than a rough patch job. The shop calls itself "the largest locally owned and operated auto body repair shop in Las Cruces" and says it has been serving the area "for more than a decade."

This is a good fit for an owner in or near Las Cruces who needs motorhome collision, dent or paint work done at a shop built to handle an RV's size, especially if an insurance claim is involved.
