Carson Truck & Auto Repair

Carson Truck & Auto Repair is a shop based in Carson City, Nevada. You bring the RV to them, and the site offers to arrange a tow to the shop if the rig cannot move on its own.

They work on motorhomes, gas pickup trucks, medium duty diesel trucks and trailers, including Class C motorhomes. Listed repair work covers cooling systems, air conditioning, electronics and electrical systems, and propane heaters, along with tires, brakes, alignment, steering and suspension, engine and transmission work, and routine lube, oil and filter service.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about those when you call. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 to 5:00 and Fridays 8:00 to 4:30.

The shop has been in Carson City for over 40 years. One traveler passing through with a Class C motorhome wrote about a propane heater problem fixed on the spot: "We called and talked to Lisa and kindly said that she would talk to George about looking at our heater despite being very busy. We went to the shop and George immediately helped us and fixed the problem in a few minutes." That kind of story is worth knowing before you need it, since a shop willing to squeeze in a traveler passing through town is not a given.

Google rates them 4.7 stars from 28 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near Carson City who wants an established shop for a motorhome or trailer repair, or a traveler passing through northern Nevada with a mechanical or electrical problem who can get the rig towed in rather than wait on a mobile tech.
