Sandhills Service

Sandhills Service is a camper, RV, boat and trailer repair business based in Burwell, Nebraska, in business since May of 2012. It works both ways. It comes to your campsite or takes your camper into its shop, covering "any other service work that is needed either at the campsite or in our shop." Its pickup option brings the camper to the shop and returns it, which matters when a rig will not roll on its own.

The listed work includes roof replacement and repair, "all major appliance repair/replacement," plumbing, electrical, propane, brakes, lights, wheel bearings and floor work, plus RV, truck or bus windshield replacement. It also services horse trailers and boats. It has a "six thousand square foot heated shop," along with inside and outside storage and campers to rent around Calamus Lake.

No trip fee, hourly rate, diagnostic fee or job prices are published, so ask about the trip fee when you call and get the labor rate before any work starts. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, and Saturday, 9:00 to noon, closed Sunday. Starting after Labor Day, the winter schedule drops Saturday.

It is an "(ASC) Authorized Service Center for Minn Kota Trolling motors," which means the brand has authorized it to handle "service repair on all Minn Kota products." Jason DeGroff is the owner. Google rates it 4.8 stars from 25 reviews. The pages state no warranty, licensing or insurance, so ask about those too.

This is a good fit for an RV owner or traveler around Burwell and Calamus Lake who needs roof, appliance or electrical work and wants the camper picked up, or for an owner who needs storage or a camper to rent by the lake.
