Western Service and Repair

Western Service and Repair is an RV repair shop based in Bozeman, Montana. It calls itself a "family run shop," and you bring the RV to it. No street address is published, so ask for directions when you call. One reviewer says the shop sits at the end of a winding dirt road, so set your GPS before you go.

It claims it can service "all RV brands and sizes," and it names no specific brands. Its listed services are RV Electrical, Plumbing & Septic, Awnings & Pop-Ups, Roof Leaks, Generators and HVAC. One reviewer describes a Class A motor home it serviced. Its service area is Bozeman, Belgrade, Manhattan, Three Forks, Livingston, Big Sky and the surrounding areas.

Repair work is "by Appointment Only," so call (406) 577-4112 to book. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. No after-hours or emergency service is listed, so a weekend breakdown waits for a weekday appointment. No trip fee or hourly rate is published, so ask about price when you call. Google rates the shop 4.5 stars from 30 reviews.

It describes itself as having "over 30 years of experience" and "licensed mechanics." Reviews name Thomas as the mechanic who did the work. No certifications are listed and no warranty is stated, so ask what the mechanics hold and what a repair is guaranteed for before you book. A warranty tells you who answers for the work if the fix does not hold.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in Bozeman or the towns around it who can bring the rig in on a weekday and wants to book ahead by phone. A traveler stuck on a weekend with a broken system will have to wait for a weekday appointment.
