Bessinger's Automotive

Bessinger's Automotive is a family-owned, full service automotive repair facility and tire dealer based in Pacific, MO. It is a shop, so you bring the RV to 528 Indian Warpath Drive. It does not say it sends a tech to campgrounds, storage lots or driveways. It names Pacific, Franklin County and St. Louis County as its service area, plus "surrounding areas," with no radius given. If you need work at your site, ask first.

It says it offers "a diverse range of RV repair services" for motorhomes, campervans, coaches, caravans, fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers and truck campers. Its RV list covers tire repair and maintenance, A/C service, alignments, brake repair, engine repair, oil change, preventive maintenance and suspension work. It also says, "From air conditioning to transmission, no aspect of your RV is beyond our expertise." Slide-outs, generators and roofs are not on that list, so ask about them directly.

Pricing is the gap. Bessinger's does not publish a trip fee, an hourly labor rate or RV-specific prices, and it does not list its hours. It says, "We always offer fair and honest pricing," and it has an online quote request, but no figures. Call (636) 271-8083 and ask about the trip fee, the labor rate and the hours before you drive over.

The shop names one outside affiliation, the AAA Approved Auto Repair network, and says "Our trained technicians" work on recreational vehicles. It does not name RV certifications such as RVTI or NRVTA, and it does not state a warranty or say whether it is licensed and insured. Certifications and a written warranty are the easiest ways to judge RV work before the rig is in the bay, so ask for both.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in Pacific or the St. Louis area who can drive the rig to the shop and wants one place for car and RV work. Call first for the trip fee, hours and certifications.
