Wilder RV

Wilder RV is an RV dealership based in Clinton, Missouri, that also does repair work. It works both ways: it comes to your site, or you bring the RV to its shop at 1011 Clark St. Its mobile crew will "fix your camper right where it sets so you don't have to hassle with moving it." The business sits on Truman Lake, about 30 miles from Lake of the Ozarks, and Preston Smith runs it.

It works on travel trailers, motorhomes and fifth wheels, and says "We can service any make or model RV." The listed work includes electrical, plumbing, roof replacement and repair, slide-out repair and adjustment, generator repair, brake control, 7-way plugs, winterizations and LP fill and service. Its stated service area is Clinton, Missouri, with no wider radius given.

It publishes no hourly rate, trip fee or job prices, so ask about the trip fee when you call. The mobile line is 660-924-6780 and the shop line is 660-885-6177. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. No after-hours or emergency service is stated.

It calls itself an "Authorized repair facility for all major appliance brands," and says its service technicians have "over 40 years of combined RV experience." An authorized shop is approved by the brand to work on that brand's equipment, which matters for a fridge or generator still under warranty. It also says "We honor all warranty work for our products," and that buyers from elsewhere still get treated "like one of our own." It does not state whether it is licensed or insured, so ask about both.

This is a good fit for an owner in Clinton who wants winterizing, roof work or a slide-out adjustment done where the rig sits, or for a traveler in Clinton whose slide-out will not come in.
