Superior Marine & RV

Superior Marine & RV is a collision and paint shop based in Shafer, Minnesota, at 30035 Gunflint Way. It repairs boats and recreational vehicles, and it does not come to you. You bring the RV to its building.

The RV work is collision repair and painting: paint repair, color matching, fiberglass and gelcoat repair, aluminum repair and insurance claims. No RV types, brands or mechanical repairs are named, so a fridge, air conditioner or slide-out is outside what this shop lists. The business calls itself "the only RV shop in the Shafer, MN area that provides paint and collision repair," and it names Shafer and Chisago Lakes as its communities without stating a service radius.

It publishes no hourly rate, job prices or trip fee, so ask for a price when you call. Estimates are free and same-day. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 to 5:00 and Friday 9:00 to 4:00, closed on weekends. Nothing is listed for after-hours or emergency work.

The technicians are "BASF painting-certified," which means they have been trained on that paint maker's products. That matters when a panel has to match an existing finish. The shop will "work with all insurance companies" to return a vehicle to its "pre-accident condition," so an insurance claim can run through here. It has over 35 years in the trade, and its About page names the team: Aaron, Tyler, Kyra, Greg, Mackenzie and Blake. Google rates it 4.7 stars from 12 reviews.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in or near Shafer with collision damage or a faded finish who can bring the rig to the shop and wants an estimate before work starts. It is not a fit for a traveler who needs a mechanical repair at a campground.
