Smokey Hills

Smokey Hills is a "Large Ice Castle Dealer & Glacier Dealership" based in Park Rapids, Minnesota, at 19143 US 71 North. Most of its business is selling ice houses and running an outdoor store with hunting and fishing gear. RV service is a smaller part of it. You bring the RV to the store on Hwy 71 North, and nothing says it will come to a campground, driveway or storage lot.

Its service wording reads, in part, "does Service on RVs, Ice Castle and Glacier Ice Houses." The only brands named for service are Ice Castle and Glacier. No RV systems, RV types or service area are listed, so ask what it will work on in your rig before you drive up.

The store is open 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. The ice house sales department keeps shorter hours: 8am to 12 noon Monday, 8am to 6pm Tuesday through Friday, and 8am to 2pm Saturday. No service department hours are stated. No hourly labor rate, diagnostic fee or repair warranty is published, and nothing mentions licensing or insurance. Call +1-218-237-5099 and ask for the labor rate, any diagnostic charge and the warranty before you schedule. Get the diagnostic charge in writing before you hand over the keys, so the bill does not come as a surprise at pickup.

Google lists it as an RV repair shop and rates it 4.5 stars from 159 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner within driving distance of Park Rapids who can bring the RV to Hwy 71 and wants a price before handing over the keys, or for an Ice Castle or Glacier owner who wants the dealer's service department.
