Schmos Services

Schmos Services is a trailer repair shop based in Columbus, Minnesota, at 13366 B Lake Drive Northeast. You bring your RV to its shop. Trailers are its main trade, and RV and camper are on its list of trailer types.

It does general trailer repair and maintenance, including brake and suspension, wheel bearings, electrical, floor and roof leak repairs, and diagnostics. It also does fabrication, customization, trailer parts, trailer rentals and DOT inspections. For RVs it says, "We build trailer frames and fix trailers and RVs." It names no RV brands and no RV systems such as air conditioners, refrigerators or slide-outs.

It serves "throughout the areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota," and publishes no radius beyond that. It does not publish a trip fee or hourly rate, so ask for a price on your job before you leave the rig. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. The site invites calls "at any time of day or night." Call (651) 213-3144.

It has "over 18 years of experience" and calls itself a "family-owned and operated business." It names no RV certification such as RVTI or NRVIA, which matters if you want an independent inspection before buying a used rig. Its DOT inspections cover commercial trucks and trailers.

This is a good fit for an owner near Columbus or in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area who can bring the rig in on a weekday and wants a trailer shop that also works on RVs.
