Sanderson Auto Repair

Sanderson Auto Repair is an auto repair shop based in Albert Lea, Minnesota, at 131 West College Street. Its RV page says, "We maintain and repair RVs and trailers," and it also sells common replacement RV parts. The page does not say whether it comes to your site or whether you bring the RV to the shop, so ask before you book.

It lists AC units, refrigerators, water heaters and plumbing, heating units, electrical systems, roof vents and roof maintenance, leveling systems, powered steps, awnings, LP systems, fresh water systems, power inverters and shore line connections. It also lists winterization, tires, lights, wheel bearings and brakes, and oil changes and fluid services. Slide-outs are not on that list. No RV types or service area are named, so ask which rigs it works on and where it will do the work.

It publishes no RV prices, hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee, so ask for the labor rate and any trip fee when you call. The shop does promise, "Never present an invoice that was larger than the most current estimate." Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and no after-hours or emergency service is listed.

Mark Sanderson started the shop in 1985. Aaron Bjorklund is listed as an owner and says he is "A.S.E. Certified in 23 areas including Master Auto and Heavy Truck Technician." ASE certifications test automotive work, so they do not by themselves show RV training. Ask who would work on your rig and what RV-specific training they have.

Its Nationwide Warranty says, "Our workmanship and parts are guaranteed for 12 months / 12,000 miles," with 36 months or 36,000 miles on the higher parts grade. Economy line parts carry 90 days or 3000 miles, and the warranty says "No warranty on used parts or labor."

Google rates it 1 star from 2 reviews, too few to say much either way. This is a good fit for an owner near Albert Lea who wants winterizing, roof maintenance or repairs backed by a written warranty, and who will ask about rates and on-site work before booking.
