Mobile Repair Services LLC

Mobile Repair Services LLC is a mobile RV tech based out of Traverse City and Cadillac, Michigan. It comes to you. It does not state how far it will travel from either town, so ask whether it will come to your driveway, storage lot or campground before you book.

It lists awnings, brakes, bearings, slide-outs, inspections, appliances, winterization, roof repair, carpentry, fiberglass, plumbing and electrical. It works on "campers, boats, trailers, and motorhomes." Working where the rig sits matters more than it sounds. A slide-out that will not come in often means the rig cannot be moved safely, so a tech who comes to it can save you a tow and a week at a shop.

No trip fee, hourly rate or job price is published, so ask about the trip fee when you call and ask what the quote covers. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 1 PM, and other times by appointment. After-hours or emergency service is not listed. The phone number is (231)-360-6771.

The owner, Travis Hardwicke, is listed as a "Licensed Technician." No certifications, insurance, warranty or years in business are listed, so ask for each before work starts. A license shows what the tech has been cleared to do, and proof of insurance covers damage to your rig while a tech is working on it. Google rates the business 5 stars from 1 review.

This is a good fit for an owner near Traverse City or Cadillac who wants a tech to come to the rig for winterizing, a roof repair or a slide-out problem, and who will ask about the trip fee and insurance before booking.
