Alpine 45 Mobile RV Tech

Alpine 45 Mobile RV Tech is a mobile RV tech based in Kalkaska, Michigan. It comes to you, wherever the rig sits, and covers Northern Michigan within a 50-mile service area, including Traverse City.

It works on furnaces, A/C units, slide-outs, water heaters, electrical and battery systems, plumbing and leveling systems, along with the kitchen, bathroom, sleeping areas and other interior living spaces. It does not touch powertrain or drivetrain components on drivable coaches, so engines, transmissions, axles, brakes or the vehicle's own cooling and heating systems are outside what it handles. It is also a Forest River warranty service provider, which means an owner with a Forest River RV can have an eligible warranty repair diagnosed and performed at their location instead of hauling the rig to a dealer.

The company charges a $50 service fee plus $175 an hour for the first hour, with additional time billed at the same $175 rate in 15-minute increments. Parts cost extra if the job needs them. Hours run 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and the owner, Ron, typically gets back to you within 24 hours. The business operates seasonally, serving the Traverse City area from May to November, so plan around that window if a job is not urgent.

Service is performed by Ron Ellerman, a technician certified through the RV Technical Institute, which matters because it means the diagnosis is coming from someone trained specifically on RV systems rather than general auto repair.

This is a good fit for a traveler or owner in Northern Michigan with a furnace, slide-out, A/C or leveling system problem who wants a tech at the campsite or driveway instead of a tow, and especially for a Forest River owner working through a warranty claim.
