Speed Wrench

Speed Wrench is a repair shop based in Hudsonville, Michigan, and it also runs mobile repairs. For an RV with a problem you can bring it in, or for a motorhome that cannot easily be moved, its mobile service comes to your location, covering "autos, trucks, cranes, and motorhomes at your location."

The shop works on motorized and towable RVs of all makes and models, and its facility has 18 bays, including 2 full-service alignment bays. On the RV side it lists minor coach repair, generator services, winterization, axle service, and collision repairs. Its heavy-duty technicians are trained on engines from Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, Mercedes, and International, which matters if your motorhome runs one of those chassis engines. It names Grand Rapids and West Michigan as the area it serves.

Speed Wrench does not publish a trip fee, an hourly rate, or a diagnostic fee, so ask about those when you call, along with whether mobile service reaches your specific campground or driveway.

Its technicians carry Master State and ASE certification, both on the heavy-duty truck side and the auto repair side, which is worth asking about when you are comparing shops, since it means the people working on your rig have passed a recognized standard rather than just learned on the job. The business has been doing vehicle repair work in West Michigan since 1989.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in the Grand Rapids area who wants a shop able to handle both the coach systems and the chassis and engine underneath it, in one place, or who needs a tech to come to a stuck motorhome rather than tow it in.
